Exploring science from an early age opens the door to understanding and curiosity about the world for students. With this goal in mind, the 2GO class participated in a science class with the theme “The Power of the Human Brain,” a topic both fascinating and essential, helping students understand themselves better and how we interact with the world.

More than just a game, experiments with balloons were activities for students to grasp scientific knowledge naturally and attractively. Through these activities, 2GO students learned about the basic principles of air pressure and physics rules, as well as how to determine the relative weight of objects, including the brain. Experimental lessons helped them see the connection between theory and the real world, thereby developing observational and scientific reasoning skills.

Students reviewed their knowledge with the creative model “Control Center – our brain” by using a balloon to create a model of the brain. They were guided to draw and divide the brain’s regions, thereby understanding the function and location of each part in their “memory.” This was not just a lesson in anatomy but also a lesson on the importance of each brain part for basic human functions.

Science is not just about theoretical learning; it is about how we understand and interact with the world. Equipping children with scientific knowledge from an early age helps them develop critical thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving skills, skills that will support them throughout their lives. At Hanoi Toronto International School, we are committed to providing a learning environment where science is an exciting adventure, fostering students’ continuous engagement and learning.

With each lesson, teachers not only impart knowledge but also broaden students’ horizons and enhance life skills, ensuring that each student not only succeeds in learning but also can apply knowledge to real-life situations.
