A Part Of ISP

We are one of the newest members of The International Schools Partnership (ISP)

The International Schools Partnership (ISP) is a growing group of committed colleagues in almost 60 schools around the world, all of which aim to be the school of choice in their local area. Learning is at the heart of everything we do for our students, colleagues and parents.

We are committed to getting better, all the time. ISP is proud to welcome Hanoi Toronto School as one of the newest members of the partnership.

International Schools Partnership

At ISP, we put learning first. It is the very essence of what we are about and it’s what our students and parents want. We want to help children and students learn to levels that amaze them. If we get the learning right, then we will be a long way down the road to creating schools that are regarded as schools of choice by parents.

All ISP schools:

  • Help children and students learn to levels that amaze them
  • Inspire children and students to be successful now and equip them to be successful later
  • Are truly international, working in partnerships within and across regions, cultures, and languages
  • Aim to be the first choice for children, students, and their families, wherever we are

01
The Learning Hub

ISP’s vision includes providing Amazing Learning for both our students and our people. It’s a journey we are on together as Schools of Choice in our local communities around the world.

From the minute we are born, we experience moments of amazing learning – learning that surprises, delights and confounds us. However, creating amazing learning experiences across a lifetime cannot be left to chance. ISP schools recognize that fostering amazing learning experiences for students and their families is intentional – and requires the right knowledge, skills and understanding.

That’s why ISP has created The Learning Hub – a unique collaborative digital community where we can learn, develop and get better. All of the courses and resources on The Learning Hub have been created in partnership with colleagues across the ISP group and designed to support the specific needs of our colleagues and ultimately students and their families, in each local community. It is the place where we can access and experience a range of professional development opportunities, build relationships and connect colleagues, and harness our collective experience and expertise.

In short, The Learning Hub demonstrates our commitment to getting better so we can keep our promise of Amazing Learning for our colleagues, students and their families.

International Learning Opportunities for Students (ILOS)

As part of ISP, we are also able to provide our students with opportunities for memorable learning experiences across our global network. These special learning and exchange programs enable students to develop their language and communication skills, place classroom learning in context, and create long-term friendships across the world, all in a safe and secure environment.

There are currently three programs up and running for students to enjoy:

This is a one month program for students aged 14 – 17 years. It gives our students the opportunity to gain real-world learning skills and greater independence, and a chance to connect with people from other countries and cultures. Buddy exchange students will plan and prepare for a trip across the world, live with a new family, and learn in a new environment.

This is a truly international and multicultural event where students gather from around the world to simulate a real UN conference. The task is to debate with other countries to solve an international issue following the ideals of the Charter of the United Nations. Student delegates learn about diplomacy, international relations, public speaking, debating, compromise, and critical thinking skills, while improving their teamwork and leadership abilities.

This camp provides the opportunity for our students to meet other ISP students from all over the world. It is an opportunity for students to experience amazing and diverse learning opportunities, whilst having fun and making new friends. It offers a variety of learning-focused, team-building, and outdoor activities.

ISP Maths Challenge

At ISP we know that mathematics is a vital skill for our students – it encourages logical and analytical thinking and supports better reasoning which is essential in problem-solving. Maths also plays a crucial role in understanding the contents of other school subjects, such as science, social studies and even music and art.

That’s why we launched the ISP Maths Challenge in 2020. The annual ISP Maths Challenge is a free week-long online competition for ISP students with a range of exciting team and individual prizes up for grabs!

ISP students aged 5-18 years from different ISP Schools compete with each other by completing fun activities and challenges to earn points. There are also opportunities for the mathematicians to go head-to-head with other ISP students in real-time races which test the speed and accuracy of mathematics fluency.

The competition is designed to encourage and motivate students enabling them to see and feel proud of the progress they are making and creating in a dynamic learning environment.

ISP Film Festival

Budding ISP filmmakers complete a four-month course learning about everything from storyboarding to special effects in sessions delivered by experts from the film industry.

The course gives students the tools they need to work in teams to script, film and edit their own short film. This is a remarkable opportunity for students to explore issues and themes which are important to them and share their work on a global stage.

Students come together to discuss and share their experiences with each other and have the exciting opportunity to get feedback from film industry professionals throughout the course.

This unforgettable multi-disciplinary project teaches students the importance of collaboration in achieving a common goal and provides an insight into career pathways in film and media.

Of course, no film festival would be complete without an awards ceremony with guest speakers and incredible prizes! This year the Film Festival Awards Ceremony will be online with the hope that the 2023 one being held in one of our amazing ISP schools!
