LETTER TO OUR BIG FAMILY FROM “THE CAPTAIN” OF HANOI TORONTO SCHOOL SPRING 2024

“Dear Hanoi Toronto School Community,

I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits as we approach the joyous occasion of TET. It is with great pleasure and warmth that I extend my best wishes to the entire community as we celebrate together.

This is a time of renewal, reflection, and joy. It is a time when families and communities come together to celebrate the past year’s accomplishments and look forward to the opportunities that the coming year holds. As you gather with your loved ones to mark this auspicious occasion, I trust that your homes be filled with laughter, love, and the spirit of togetherness.

In the spirit of TET, I would like to take a moment to appreciate the cultural richness that binds us together. The values of family, respect for others, and the importance of community are timeless and universal. We often speak about family at Hanoi Toronto School. We live this through our partnership with our families and our shared commitment to provide children with amazing learning opportunities in an environment where confidence grows. May this festive season reinforce the bonds that make our community unique and special.

The Year of the Dragon is a symbol of strength, vitality, good fortune and is associated with auspicious events and positive energy. May the Year of the Dragon bring prosperity, good health, and success to all the students, teachers, staff, and families of Hanoi Toronto School. As you embark on new beginnings keep in mind the dragon’s characteristics of intelligence, ambition, and a strong sense of purpose as you and your family find joy in learning, strength in unity, and fulfillment in every endeavor.

I encourage each member of the Hanoi Toronto School family to embrace the traditions and customs that make TET a truly magical time. Whether through festive decorations, traditional cuisines, or engaging in cultural activities, I wish you a TET filled with love, happiness, and the promise of a bright and prosperous future.

Hanoi, the spring of the Dragon Year 2024

Lee Chalkly
