Under the guidance of Ms. Kaye MacIver, Regional Director of Learning for Vietnam and Thailand at ISP, alongside with the participation of Mr. Lee Chalkly, Executive Principal of HTS, the recent professional development session at the school covered the theme of enhancing a deeper understanding of the ISP teacher role, practicing the recognition of learning phases, and initiating lesson planning to ensure students maintain focus throughout the learning process.

Throughout the training session, teachers, who are usually at the front of the classroom, took on the role of students to understand and reflect together on what they have, are, and can improve in their teaching roles.

In particular, the training session focused on the phases of learning, from introducing new knowledge to reinforcing and internalizing new information. This equipped teachers with additional methods and skills necessary to support students more effectively in their learning journey.

Regular professional development at Hanoi Toronto School is an essential part of enhancing the quality of education at the school, helping teachers become more confident and effective in their teaching and accompanying students along the way.
