Stephanie Wright

I have been teaching for seven years now, beginning in the UK and moving to Brazil in 2022. I have had teaching experience in early years, ks1 and ks2. I have worked in both mainstream and special needs schools and have used my experience to integrate special educational needs classes into mainstream schools, creating a learning environment more tailored to students’ specific needs. This has effectively allowed children to feel more comfortable and confident in their learning space, supporting them to achieve.

Throughout my time in Brazil, I supported and progressed our pastoral mentoring system in the primary school, and mentored children in both primary and secondary school. I have a strong passion and interest in child development within education as highlighted by my undergraduate degree in psychology and master’s degree in psychology of education. My passion for supporting children is shown through my ambition to cultivate a positive learning environment and the application of appropriate intervention for pupils under my responsibility.

My philosophy of education is that learning is a lifelong journey. Due to this, I am constantly seeking to learn more and improve my practice. I have undertaken a variety of professional development courses to gain a greater understanding of child development and learning in the classroom.
