A team of four talented students from Hanoi Toronto School (HTS) has developed an innovative bilingual board game, S-VIỆT, that has earned them a spot in the SAGE Vietnam National Final taking place on May 25.
HTS participates in SAGE (Students for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship), a prestigious global programme that empowers high school students to create real-world business ventures with a focus on solving social and environmental challenges. SAGE inspires entrepreneurial thinking, creativity, and social responsibility among youth around the world.
The HTS student-led project, S-VIỆT – Where History and Culture Become a Game, is a groundbreaking educational board game designed to bring Vietnamese history and culture to life. Crafted from eco-friendly materials, the game allows players to journey through all 34 provinces and cities of Vietnam, combining strategic gameplay with rich cultural storytelling. It is suitable for a wide range of audiences—from students and educators to families and tourists.
More than just a game, S-VIỆT promotes national pride, encourages intergenerational connection, and offers a sustainable, engaging way to learn about Vietnam’s heritage.
“We are incredibly proud of our students’ creativity, leadership, and passion for Vietnamese culture,” said Bien Nguyen, MOET Principal. “Their work on S-VIỆT reflects the values we strive to nurture at HTS—innovation, global-mindedness, and community impact.”

LOOKING AHEAD

The winning team from the SAGE Vietnam National Final will go on to represent Vietnam at the prestigious SAGE World Cup, scheduled to take place in the USA in August 2025. While final selection will depend on the results from the upcoming finals on May 24–25, the HTS team remains a top contender.

HTS invites the wider community to show their support by voting for the project online and helping these young entrepreneurs succeed on the national stage.
