CONQUERING THE WORLD OF TELECOMMUNICATIONS WITH 4GI!

The journey of exploring the world of telecommunications with the 4GI students began with ancient methods of communication such as pigeon carriers, smoke signals, and papyrus letters. They then delved into more modern inventions like Morse Code and ultimately, the pinnacle of contemporary telecommunications – satellites and the internet.

In a science class with Mr. Carlos, the practical Morse Code activity saw the young scholars personally constructing and programming a signal transmitter using LEGO. Through this, they learned to encode messages, control LED lights to flash three times, and emit a 1kHz tone for 5 seconds to signal the receiver.

Building on the creativity and passion for science ignited during the previous STEM week, the HTSers have nurtured their own enthusiasm for science and technology. Here’s to the HTSers students embarking on even more remarkable scientific journeys in the increasingly fascinating world of science!
